HEALTHIER JUPITER INVITED COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS FOR LASTING IMPACT GRANTS
Alongside you all, Healthier Jupiter has dedicated the last 6 years to bringing the greater Jupiter community together to encourage each person to live their healthiest life. We are extremely fortunate to have done that work as part of Jupiter Medical Center through a grant from Palm Health Foundation’s Healthier Together Initiative while being led by community.
Healthier Jupiter is transitioning, and as part of that transition, we want to use our remaining funds (an estimated $50,000) to offer financial support to partners to continue addressing the community’s priorities to:
Promote and ensure opportunities for healthy eating and active living
Encourage people to engage mentally and physically in healthy behaviors
Advocate for improving community conditions impacting health
Community partners were encouraged to submit proposals for our Lasting Impact Grant to sustain and grow high impact projects that Healthier Jupiter coordinated, proposed for the future and/or previously implemented. Grants were awarded up to $10,000 to nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, or civic organizations, which includes public schools, neighborhood groups, or houses of worship, serving the greater Jupiter community. The Lasting Impact Grants build on areas identified as most important by community as presented in Healthier Jupiter’s Program Evaluation. Proposals will be reviewed by Healthier Jupiter committee members for community involvement, capacity to take on the work, and plans for sustainability.
