Healthier Jupiter Announces Staff Changes

It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce Carrie Browne’s departure as Healthier Jupiter’s Executive Director, effective August 28, 2019. Since 2015 Carrie has played a critical role in the development and success of Healthier Jupiter, and while we will miss her and her inspiring leadership, we wish her the best of luck in her new endeavor as the Director of Philanthropy with Palm Health Foundation. Palm Health Foundation is Palm Beach County’s leading community foundation for health. With the support of donors and a focus on results, the foundation builds strong community partnerships, advocates for its most vulnerable neighbors and inspires innovative solutions to lead change for better health for generations to come. We want to thank her for the four years of dedicated service.

Carrie Browne, over the last 4 years has worked tirelessly to bring our community together to support everyone to live their healthiest life. She has worked with the Steering Committee to set the vision for the work of Healthier Jupiter, develop strategic goals and implement plans. Carrie brought strong strategic planning, team building and marketing skills to Healthier Jupiter. She has helped to show our community that everyone has a role to play in improving the health of the greater Jupiter community.

Joanna Peluso will assume Healthier Jupiter leadership responsibilities as Project Manager. Joanna currently is Healthier Jupiter’s Outreach Coordinator and previously served as Healthier Jupiter’s AmeriCorps VISTA Member from 2017-2018. Joanna is an extremely capable community organizer with passion for elevating the community’s voice. She comes with very strong analytical skills and will be a stabilizing force for the initiative. Joanna and our strong committees will be key factors to take Healthier Jupiter to the next phase of creating a healthier community.

From Carrie Browne, Executive Director, Healthier Jupiter

After four years of living and breathing Healthier Jupiter, I recently submitted my resignation to pursue new challenges. While I have a mix of emotions (and quite a few tears) as I move into this next chapter of my career, as the Director of Philanthropy at Palm Health Foundation, I will have the ability to share the success of Healthier Jupiter and continue the work that has become so important to me. The decision for my transition did not come easily as I am extremely proud of all that Healthier Jupiter Steering Committee, Marketing Committee, Couch to 5K Committee, volunteers and community partners have accomplished during the past four years and hold dear to my heart the relationships I’ve built during my time as Executive Director.

I want to give my deepest gratitude to all who have been so supportive of Healthier Jupiter and of me personally over the years. Without you Healthier Jupiter would not be as strong and vibrant as it is. I am so honored to have been trusted with the position. I know I am leaving the organization in great hands with Joanna Peluso, I cherish my time with her, and I am so proud of all that she has and will accomplish. I will watch with excitement and anticipation as the community works together, supporting each person to live the healthiest life possible.

All my best,

Carrie Browne
