Healthier Jupiter Announces Transition with American Heart Association
Alongside you all, Healthier Jupiter has dedicated the last 7 years bringing the greater Jupiter community together to encourage each person to live their healthiest life. We are extremely fortunate to have done that work as part of Jupiter Medical Center through a grant from Palm Health Foundation’s Healthier Together Initiative while being led by YOU!
In September, Healthier Jupiter held a community engagement opportunity to discuss the initiative’s steps forward (maybe even beyond Jupiter). Healthier Jupiter will transition, and sunset. As part of that we have:
1. Created an Evaluation of Programs to document all the work we have done.
2. Invested in community partners through Lasting Impact Grants
3. American Heart Association (AHA) has been identified as the strongest partners with the ability to support the momentum of healthy eating and active living in the Jupiter, and potentially bring the work spurred in Jupiter to other communities.
AHA will receive support from Palm Health Foundation and the community to explore what and how they will address community conditions in the Healthy Eating and Active Living spaces at local and county level.
Palm Health Foundation, American Heart Association and Healthier Jupiter’s Steering Committee want you to consider how you can continue to stay engaged. Reach out to healthierjupiter@htpbc.org
Healthier Jupiter held a celebration on June 22nd at 6:00PM at the Jupiter Medical Center Raso Education building to share more about our impact and the transition. You can download the powerpoint here. Or watch a recording of the celebration below!
