New Year – New Healthier Lifestyle

By Sophia Nemes, Healthier Jupiter’s Student Voice Reporter

The start of a new year is a time for making changes in your life. One change might be creating a healthy lifestyle for yourself. A healthy lifestyle can mean different things to different people. To me, a healthy lifestyle is finding time to relax, eating healthy, getting plenty of exercise, going to regular health checkups, and managing stress.  You may think that achieving a healthy lifestyle is very hard, but it can be just the opposite. If you introduce these things little by little into your life you can achieve a healthy lifestyle easily. I try to eat more fruits and vegetables each day, go outside to play basketball, read in the afternoon, and stay on top of my school work so I don’t get stressed out by due dates.

It’s important to have a healthy lifestyle because of the benefits it brings to your life. It can add years to your life and reduce your risk of getting diseases like cancer and diabetes. It also strengthens your immune system so in case you do get sick you will get well and back to school and your activities faster.

In the end, it’s important to have a healthy lifestyle because it can positively affect your well being and benefit you immensely. In the new year, I hope you will make a few small changes to your lifestyle that will have a big impact on your health.
