PBC North Chamber Sustainability Committee Announces a New Vice-Chair
January 25, 2021
The Sustainability Subcommittee of the Economic Development Committee of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to establish and recommend environmental health and sustainability best practices for the Chamber and its members. The subcommittee is proud to announce our new Vice-Chair Joanna Peluso, joining Chelsea Reed, the current Chair.
Joanna Peluso is the current Project Director of Healthier Jupiter – a community led healthy eating and active living initiative of Jupiter Medical Center. Healthier Jupiter is part of Palm Health Foundation’s Healthier Together Initiative – a long-term, community-driven approach to solving a community’s complex health issues. Joanna has been with Healthier Jupiter for over 3 years in various roles, supporting and elevating the community’s ideas to promote and ensure opportunities for healthy food access, neighborhood exercise programs and walking and biking safety.
“Through the collective impact work with Healthier Jupiter,” Joanna says, “everyone has a role to play in health and wellbeing”. The same is true for sustainability and green initiatives, our community members and our businesses need to be thinking about how they can continue to promote the health of our planet while helping their business at the same time.
Joanna is excited to begin working more closely with the sustainability committee members who include local and national sustainability leaders and elected officials from the Chamber’s municipalities.
