It's March - Let's Move!

2020 Palm Beach County Let’s Move: Commit to Change Physical Activity Challenge.

The Let’s Move: Commit to Change Physical Activity Challenge invites Jupiter and Palm Beach County residents to form teams and get moving together – let’s make this fun! All you have to do is:

Rally your friends, family and coworkers and register at http://www.letsmovepbc.org/ . Need help registering? Follow this How To Register Handout. We are hoping everyone in Jupiter will register under the Town of Jupiter Team and then join a subteam. If you to create a new subteam please email Joanna at healthierjupiter@htpbc.org to have your subteam added.

Make sure to share your activity minutes on the Let’s Move website or record using the weekly Tracking Sheet and submit to Joanna at healthierjupiter@htpbc.org or by text at 561-234-0182. You don’t take a photo of your log, you can just total the number of activity minutes and type of activity and send it along.

Did you know… small bits of fitness add up!  If you have trouble finding 30 consecutive minutes for exercise, try breaking it up.  Here are some easy ways you can add movement right into your work day:

  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator

  • Take a brisk walk during lunch

  • Try a creative deskercise workout

  • Stretch or walk in place while watching TV

The Let’s Move: Commit to Change Physical Activity Challenge is a county-wide initiative that focuses on physical activity, nutrition and healthy behaviors. Palm Health Foundation presents the annual challenge, which takes place from March 1-31. Palm Health Foundation’s goal is for residents who participate in the challenge to take charge of their health and continue incorporating physical activity in their daily lives beyond the month of March.
