Census 2020: Let's Get a Complete Count
Households will begin receiving official Census Bureau mail in mid-March with detailed information on how to respond to the 2020 Census online, by phone, or by mail. Everyone who lives in the United States is required by law to participate. Only one census form is necessary per household (and you are to count everyone living in your household), and seasonal residents should complete the form based on their location as of April 1.
With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts in our community, there may be some changes to the Census 2020 coordinated efforts. For the most up to date information click here. The key message right now for anyone with questions about how COVID-19 will affect the 2020 Census: It has never been easier to respond on your own, whether online, over the phone or by mail—all without having to meet a census taker.
The results help determine how more than $675 billion in federal funding is distributed to states and communities. For Jupiter, this means funding for schools, roads and infrastructure, fire and police, healthcare and community programs.
